Rugby Run Solar Farm

The Rugby Run solar farm is part of the Adani Group’s significant global investment in solar energy. The Adani Group is the world’s biggest solar energy company, working to provide energy for an advancing world.

Enabling the transition to a lower emissions future

Located near the town of Moranbah in Central Queensland, the Rugby Run solar farm is Bravus’ flagship solar investment in Australia. Officially opened in October 2019, the Rugby Run solar farm features 247,000 solar panels which generate 185,000MWh of power each year. Rugby Run has a power purchase agreement to sell 80 per cent of the energy generated.

Rugby Run is committed to the vision of the Adani Group to create a truly sustainable energy mix. Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) secured its position as the world’s largest solar company in 2021 with the acquisition of SB Energy Holdings Ltd. AGEL now has a total renewable energy capacity of 24.3GW, enough to power more than 8.5 million homes.

The Adani Group’s portfolio of both renewables and fossil fuels means it can sustainably deliver energy to people in developing nations who are seeking to improve living standards.
